I’d just like to thank you all for coming….

Great Toy Guide I'm going to start by pointing out that I am a proper Northern person and therefore don't do sentimental posts.

But, that said, I'm so pleased by how well this blog has been doing.

It's been a little over two weeks since I launched Who's the Mummy, and I've been amazed to receive 300 comments from readers and 5,000 visitors in that time. I've also had a great response to the Top 100 British Parent Bloggers index, which will be updated next week (comment now to nominate your blog – we've scored some great prizes for our top new entry in August).

Of course, this now puts me under intolerable pressure to remain interesting, but if that fails, I thought I'd just start giving out sweeties to every third commenter (using a simple, tried and tested 'two for me, one for you' formula). Okay?

I've also been busy over at The Great Toy Guide, a brand new blog that provides advice and reviews on toys for children aged 0-8. It's written by Mummy bloggers who are – obviously – among the wisest, wittiest and warmest people around.

Our starting line-up includes (deep breath) Yummy Mummy Flabby Tummy, Who's the Mummy, Bringing up Charlie, Sticky Fingers, WAHM-BAM, Being a MummyMummy New, Baby Baby, Wife of Bold, Brits in Bosnia, Are We Nearly There Yet, Mummy?, Time Management Mum, Motherhood:the final frontier, Clareybabble, 20 Something Mum and CafeBebe. I think that's everyone!

Do come over, have a look around – and from September, we'll be running weekly special offers, promotions and giveaways for our readers. To keep updated, follow me on Twitter here.

So:

Thanks to everyone who has read, commented, Tweeted, contributed and generally been a fantastic support. Tis much appreciated. I'm now doing the virtual equivalent of punching you on the shoulder in a Northern fashion. Cheers.
