It’s that time again – so here for your delight and delectation are the Top 100 UK Mummy bloggers for this month.
Looking at the figures this month, a couple of things really stood out for me. For starters, this month there were fewer new entries, and most new entries were lower in the table;
If you submitted your blog I promise it was analysed but relatively few of the blogs scored highly enough to dislodge someone else from the index - I suspect because many of these blogs are still very new. Perhaps next month!
Also, there's definitely a lower average score because there are fewer posts overall, and this also impacts the number of recent links. I presume this is because you were all swanning off on your hols last month. Gits.
Once again, congratulations to everyone listed, and I hope you will spend some time exploring the blogs in the index - there really are some fantastic reads just waiting to be discovered here. If you’ve got any questions about how the index works, please just click on the FAQ page to the right to find out.
And of course, don't forget to get your blog badges by clicking on the link here.
If you’re not listed this month and you haven’t yet submitted your blog to Who’s the Mummy, please leave a comment on this post, and I’ll add you to the mix next time.
Right, let’s dive in!
The Top100 British Parent Blogs and Bloggers:
JUST MISSED OUT THIS MONTH: Hot Cross Mum, Is that Me? How Did that Happen?, Suffolk Writings, Family Treehouse and Mummo Mia! were all within 5 points of the top 100. So close!
.

Morning Everyone
Before anyone posts, I just wanted to add to this a couple of points:
1. If there's a typo or your link doesn't work, let me know. Me and HTML have an up and down relationship, so I'm aware there may be errors!
2. If you want to be linked next time it makes my life a lot easier if you can include your blog name and your blog URL, especially if the two are different!
Thanks everyone,
Sally

Thanks so much for including me again - I'm glad to see I'm still on the up :o)
Posted by: Elaine | 06 August 2009 at 09:24 AM
Elaine - I have to say, your stats this month were WAY up for engagement - have you been doing a lot of Tweeting or social bookmarking?
Posted by: Sally | 06 August 2009 at 09:30 AM
Hi there, I am new to this blogging lark and would love to get involved in this. I have a lot of new sites to start look through - what is your best advice to increase the traffic to my blog?
Posted by: Jen | 06 August 2009 at 10:35 AM
Glad to see all my favourites are up there... Now I just have to be!
Posted by: Pippa | 06 August 2009 at 11:47 AM
Please consider me next time! I'm at
http://papaetpiaf.wordpress.com
and the blog is called Papa et Piaf.
Posted by: Sean Cosgrove | 06 August 2009 at 11:51 AM
@Jen - gosh, you'd be better asking the people in the index that question!
My personal top tip for bloggers is always this: don't make the mistake of thinking a blog is something where you publish content. It's a way of accessing a community. A blog can only thrive if you engage with the community - read blogs, comment on blogs and link to blogs - not just on the blogs themselves, but use RSS, use Twitter to build connections, use Facebook to share your own posts. A little generosity goes a long way, I find.
(Oh, and knowing about keywords, SEO and social bookmarking won't hurt, but that's definitely NOT the most important thing, in my experience)
@ Pippa - would you like me to include you next time? If so, URL and blog name!
@Sean - no problem.
Posted by: Sally | 06 August 2009 at 12:20 PM
Sally, thanks again for your hard work in putting this together - I feel motivated to increase my blogs visibility, although I don't tweet or have Facebook. Will have to look at RSS and bookmarking.
Thanks for the tips.

I'm sure I have got enough whatevers to make it worth your while doing the figures on my blog.
Do you only do the ones that people ask or do you check out all the ones you know about. And do you automatically do all the ones in the previous month's list?
I'll put mine forward this month, but honestly, don't worry if you don't get round to it. Do feel I'll be wasting your time a bit.

I'm at blog 67 (I started at 100 and am counting up), and it's taken me two weeks to get there. Should be done by Christmas! Too much to read - in a very good way. Thank you for the post(s); much more reliable and a lot more fun than anything I get through the letterbox. We're the new kids on the block, and have spent far too much time blog- rather than park-side this summer. We like to rant http://tinyurl.com/nnnmbj and love London! Come and say hello.
