Welcome to the September 2010 Tots100 index of the top 100 British Parent bloggers.
August was a pretty quiet month for our top UK Mummy and Daddy blogs – the volume of posts has reduced sharply, although there has been plenty of activity relating to the trip three Mummy bloggers recently made to Bangladesh with Save the Children. You can find out more about the campaign to raise awareness of child mortality and sign a petition to be presented to the UN on September 22nd by visiting the website of Sleep is for the Weak, our #1 parenting blog this month.
One of the things that's always great to see is the number of new blogs joining the index each month – this month we have six brand new blogs to explore. Do take the time to visit those blogs you haven't seen before – we've got parenting blogs covering everything from fashion to feminism, crafts, cooking and gardening.
If you write a parenting blog and you’re in the UK or a British ex-pat, you can add your blog to the Tots100 index. Just leave a comment on THIS post with your blog name, URL, and your Twitter ID if you have one. You will then be listed in next month’s index.
Before signing up, take a moment to read our primer, which explains what blogs are eligible for the index, and how your score will be calculated. We're always happy to answer questions via email or in the comments. You can also opt out of the index for any month, just by dropping us a line and asking to be removed from the table. Please remember that the Tots100 will not reverse the ageing process or make you rich – it's just a fun way to reach new readers, and to find new blogs to read.
If you have submitted your blog to the Tots100 index, you can download a personalised badge for your blog, which will update automatically each month with your new Tots100 ranking. These badges are available for ALL bloggers in the index, not just those in the top 100. If you're the modest type and would prefer, you can also download a static badge, which lets your readers know you're in the Tots100 without announcing your ranking.
