UPDATE: If you want to connect with 1,000 British Mummy blogs (and some Dads, too) then please visit the new Tots100 website with up-to-date listings and a brand new PR subscription option, so you can search, filter and contact the UK's most popular Mummy bloggers direct.
It's beginning to sound a lot like Christmas for the British Mummy and Daddy bloggers, and this month has seen some fantastic posts around Christmas traditions, crafts and activities.
This month we're in the process of making some changes to the Tots100 index and unfortunately bad weather has meant the technical wizards haven't been able to complete the process – so this month the index has been compiled manually. What this means is:
a) The Tots100 badges won't update until after Christmas, sorry, but we will need to upload the manual data to the automated ranking system for these new figures to take effect.
b) Those of you who aren't in the top 100 won't know your scores this month
c) If you asked to join or leave the index this month, we can't make those changes until next month, when the database is updated
Thanks for your patience while we're making the changes – hopefully next month you'll be able to see the results of our work, and you'll agree it's been worth it!
In the meantime, if you'd like to add your blog to the Tots100 index, please leave a comment on THIS post with your blog name, URL and Twitter ID (if you have one). If you already left a comment last month, there's no need to comment again – we do have details of changes and will add them in before we run the January index.
New to the index?
Before signing up, take a moment to read our primer, which explains what sort of blogs are eligible for the index and how the scores are calculated. Other indexes tend to score blogs entirely based on links, but the Tots100 uses a unique combination of scores that measure a blog based on three key things: popularity (how many people read your blog), engagement (how many people comment on your blog) and reach (how many people share your blog content with others).
You can also opt out of the index for any month or permanently, just by dropping us a line and asking to be removed from the table. You'll be removed from the month following your comment.
If you have submitted your blog to the Tots100 index, you can download a personalised badge for your blog, which will update automatically each month with your new Tots100 ranking. These badges are available for ALL bloggers in the index, not just those in the top 100. If you're the modest type and would prefer, you can also download a static badge, which lets your readers know you're in the Tots100 without announcing your ranking.
And now for December's Top 100 British Mummy and Daddy blogs and bloggers:

Good to see some new blogs in there! Thanks as ever for doing this Sally.
Oooh, I’m pleased to have stayed in the top 100 – although I appear to be there twice!
I think there may be an outcry
Please add me! Little Miss Madam and the Sunshine Duke http://www.littlemissmadamandthesunshineduke.blogspot.com
@MissandSunshine
Thanks!
Um… you have three Tales from the Village at different points. Presume some of them should be something else. And some of the numbers in the score column look off (e.g. New Mummy’s Tips, Bekki’s Bloggy Bits…). I imagine that’s down to doing it manually. Part me is hoping that once you fix these mistakes, I’ll be back on there, but I’m guessing probably not.
Thanks!
*cough* Not any more
You’re almost certainly right.
Done!
This, it seems, is the perfect illustration of why you don’t craft HTML by hand at 1am and then think ‘sod it’ and go to bed without proofing. I have fixed all the errors I could see, but if you spot any more, please let me know! Thanks.
Hello, I asked to be included last month but I’m not showing up on the bit where you download your badge. Please can you put me in for next month?
Thanks

I’d like to complain that my blog is only on there once.
Only joking, but was most amused to hear I was featuring three times earlier today! Thanks as ever Sally, and nice to see some new blogs in there – off to visit them now with a coffee.
A huge thank you once again, for all your hard work, especially at this busy time of year. Some great new blogs to explore.
CJ xx
Still not on it, it’s on my Xmas list, maybe next month
