Is there anything nicer than a gift you’re not expecting?
Especially when it’s a gift that is packed with thoughtful little touches like a Wellbox Gift Box?
Wellbox is a company that provides gift boxes on a range of themes. With prices ranging from £10 up to £55 per box, they’re ideal for giving to friends, family and co-workers.
This month, we were sent two Wellbox items to review from the company’s “Mental Health and Wellbeing” collection. These are gift boxes designed to help encourage the recipient to relax and feel more positive, and each box includes between 6 and 14 items that are perfect little treats.
Wellbeing Gift Boxes
Each Wellbox gift box you buy from the mental health and wellbeing section includes a donation to either a local homeless shelter or to , the charity that helps those suffering with poor mental health. You can also include a personalised note or letter with your gift box, so it can be tailored to the particular occasion.
Check out the details of the two boxes we reviewed below:
The Mindfulness Box, from £32.95
The mindfulness box is perfect for someone who you’d like to take some time to practice self-care. It contains nine premium gift items that are all designed to promote wellbeing.
We particularly liked the gratitude journal, which provides inspiring words alongside prompts that encourage you to set intentions for your day, and record things you are grateful for.
Alongside this was a glorious vanilla and coconut scented candle that I swear reminded me of the best, most relaxing beach holidays ever.
There was also a bottle of lemon essential oil (perfect for adding energy to your morning) along with a pack of energy-boosting vitamins. Added to that were some bath salts, Tea-pigs tea set and a divine packet of dark chocolate along with roasted coconut chips.
Inside the box there was also a lovely postcard, and a reminder that my gift box included a £1 donation to the mental health charity MIND, which I thought was a lovely extra touch.
Mankind Gift Box, from £24.95
The Mankind gift box is obviously suitable for everyone, but the items inside are picked with a more masculine look and feel. Given that men are less likely to seek support and practice self-care, this could be a great gift option for Father’s Day.
The box we received contained a range of wellness items, including a face mask, soap bar and sponge, and bath salts. They were tried out by Flea’s Dad and given two enthusiastic thumbs up.
Alongside this was a pack of dark chocolate nibs, fabulous tea bags from Teapigs and a ginger shot that I’m not quite brave enough to have drunk yet! The pack also includes an inspirational postcard and personalised message, along with a note explaining that a £1 donation was made to the MIND charity as part of the gift.
You do expect this sort of gift box to be expensive when you add up the value of the contents. But in the case of Wellbox, I think the package is pretty good value, and the feel-good aspect of the charity donation takes this box a notch above others we’ve seen and tried. The included products are all packaged and sized to give an impression of quality and generosity and they’re the sort of items that can be consumed/used – which I like because too often gifts are pretty things that hang around until you get bored of dusting them!
Win a Wellbox worth up to £35!
