Summer Wishes

Summer at the lake

Things I hope for this summer:

Days on the beach

Visiting old friends

Paperbacks in the sun

Evening walks

Painting in the garden

Fingers dangling in fountains

Open water and long days

Fresh fruit for breakfast

Manhattan, shimmering in the sunshine

What says 'summer' to you?

My wishes are completely the same. Of course, add to it a weekend without the kids and I’d be in seventh heaven. x

Mmm you’re ambitious!! Did the festival thing last weekend (haw haw) and took the kids to Legoland Live “My First Festival” last Saturday – rock on tommy!!
On my list is a positive “glamping” Featherdown farm vacation – waking up and taking the kids to collect fresh eggs etc., walks down by the river feeding the ducks, picnics with friends in the park and most important of all is making most of the time with my daughter b4 she starts school (straight into year 1 – don’t get me started on the lack of reception).

I’m with you on that (although I have never been to Manhattan so can’t vouch for that one!)
We’re off to our first festival as a family, my first ever, next weekend, am looking forward to it. What ones are you off to sweetie?

Lovely list – i agree with them all, but would just add camping next to the sandunes, and bbqs on the beach… lets just hope for the sun!

Manhattan is gorgeous in the summer, but it definitely helps to be staying in a house with good a/c!
We’re off to Bestival this summer, fingers crossed for good weather!
