Announcing the MADs, 2010.

The MADs

Did you ever wish there was a way to show your favourite blogger how great you thought they were?

Have you ever wanted to tell a blogger that they made you laugh until you snorted coffee over the keyboard, or that their story moved you to tears? Well, from tomorrow, you’ll have a chance to do just that.

The MADs 2010 is a brand new award programme that celebrate the best British Mum and Dad blogs and bloggers.

We’re inviting you to nominate your favourite blogs for MAD Awards in 10 different categories, including the MAD Blogger of the Year. The award categories have been selected to reflect the breadth of talent on offer in parent blogging, with awards for new blogs, photography blogs, activity blogs and much more.

Thanks to the generous support of Butlins and our other sponsors, there are some great prizes on offer for winning bloggers, who will be announced at a fantastic awards ceremony later in the year. We’ve also got a couple of surprises in store over the coming months.

So what are you waiting for? Head over to the MADs site to find out more about the awards, and don’t forget to follow us on Twitter to keep track of nominations and finalists as they’re announced.

On a personal note, I’d like to thank the amazing, talented bloggers who have helped get the project to this stage and have frequently listened to me ranting, swearing or whimpering down the phone about DNS or CSS and other hideous things. Josie, Karin, Ellie – I am so proud of what we’ve achieved together, and I couldn’t possibly have done it without you.

Sally is a full-time blogger and founder of the Tots100, Trips100, Foodies100 and HIBS100 communities, along with the MAD Blog Awards. She spends a bit too much time on the Internet. She’s also a very happy Mum to Flea, the world’s coolest ten year old.
