Happy Birthday to Me

It may be that, on reflection, the best thing about my birthday this year is that there’s only an hour left of it.

But while searching for a silver lining this evening, I read through Flea’s notebook.

She accompanied me to a business meeting today – the restaurant we booked for the meeting was full so we popped next door to Nandos and while I chatted with a work contact, Flea entertained herself writing in her notebook.

I bet you think she wrote a charming fairy story, or drew a picture of a dog, aren’t you?

This is what she was working on:

Seriously, some days I think I have the best kid in the world.

(for those not fluent in five-year-old, the words in the speech bubble say 'blah, blah, blah')
